Michael Palmer founded Treeline Associates, Inc. in 1998. He has an entrepreneurial spirit and always visualizes the "big picture." He has been successful in both the private sector and in non-profit organizations. A seasoned veteran in the non-profit sector, Mike has been very active in the association management industry and has served as executive or managing director for several clients, including the International Policy Governance Association, the Student & Youth Travel Association, and the Travel and Tourism Research Association.
Mike's career experience also includes having served as senior consultant and conference manager for the World Youth Student and Educational Travel Confederation, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Mike has provided startup leadership to two consortiums and two 501(c)(3) charities. He has provided strategic planning services to 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), 501(c)(6), and for-profit companies. Mike has also helped start a social entrepreneurial business as a wholly-owned subsidiary of a non-profit organization. He was a driving force in creating three separate for-profit businesses and growing them into profitable, multi-million dollar corporations. He has provided sales and marketing consulting services, most recently to the National 4-H Council, which is the largest youth-serving organization in the U.S.
Palmer is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and is a Certified Association Executive. He has served on two leadership committees in ASAE and two committees for the Association Management Company Institute (AMCI). Mike is the past President of the Lake Orion Education Foundation and was a Director of the Lake Orion Rotary Club (of which he is a charter member). In 2007, Palmer received an Outstanding Alumni Service Award from Michigan State University. Mike is an avid outdoorsman, amateur dendrologist, and a fan of MSU sports. He has a B.A. from Michigan State University and an M.B.A. from the University of South Florida.
